About Grant Haven Campground

We’re Clayton and Meagan Johnson — Clayton a welder by trade, Meagan a registered nurse who manages the ICU and CCU at Sanford Bemidji. In March of 2021, Clayton and his crew broke ground on Grant Haven, and nine weeks later we opened the gates to our first guests.

We’ve had a blast getting to know so many great families and visitors over the last several years and are hoping to keep that tradition going. We love meeting new people and being able to share what we love to do most — be outdoors. We both love to hunt and fish, ride four-wheelers and snowmobiles, enjoy lake time with friends, and take in the sights wherever we can.

We hope you’ll find yourselves with lots to do in all of the beautiful seasons Minnesota has to offer. We love to take our girls on the side-by-side — it’s so easy to just jump on the trails from the campground and go anywhere you want. Downtown Bemidji offers a diverse mix of shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Summer on Lake Bemidji is filled with festivals and events. The Mississippi Headwaters at Itasca State Park makes for a great day trip, and Movil Maze Recreation Area is just a few miles north — bring your mountain bike or go for a hike.

If it’s relaxation you’re after, take your kids to our on-site playground or basketball court. There’s something for everyone.
